The number of lawsuits against Stryker Corp. continues to grow, according to the multidistrict litigation (MDL) based in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota under Judge Donovan W. Frank. Presently, there are now 395 plaintiffs from only 346 plaintiffs in October 2013. Thus, giving a 49 increase (14.2 percent increase) on the lawsuits filed in just a matter of one month.

As reported in another news, the number of cases in the multicounty litigation (MCL) in New Jersey has increased to 553 cases.

These lawsuits claim that either the Rejuvenate Modular Hip Stem or ABG II Modular-Neck Hip stem caused health injuries and damages to the plaintiffs. Both hip devices were recalled by Stryker in July 2012 due to safety issues.
