The number of plaintiffs filing Stryker lawsuits is rapidly increasing, as reported by the multidistrict litigation (MDL) court in the U.S. Distict Court for the District of Minnesota which is overseen by Judge Donovan W. Frank.  The MDL court reports a 14.2 percent increase in the number of lawsuits in just one month, from 346 cases in October 2013 to 395 in November 2013.

All plaintiffs claim that the recalled Stryker Rejuvenate Modular Hip Stem or ABG II Modular-Neck Hip Stem caused them health injuries. These two artificial hip devices were both recalled due to safety issues in July 2012.

Aside from the MDL, the number of cases in the multicounty litigation (MCL) in New Jersey has also rapidly increased to 553 cases.
